Julie Francom Lehi Utah Doula Provo.jpg

Hi! Nice to meet you, I am so happy you are here with us. I am Julie, a small-town Utah girl turned soldier, computer geek, doula and now, podcaster and business owner. I drink Pepsi like it's water and you can pretty much get me to do anything by offering chocolate cake as incentive. I've been keepin' it real since 1985.

I live with my husband and our kiddos in Lehi, Utah. I had complications at the end of my first pregnancy resulting in an emergency c-section four weeks before my due date. My second baby was a VBAC at home with an amazing birth team, it was very primal and instinctual and changed how I view birth, my babies, and myself. It was after this experience that I realized that birth work was my calling. I wanted to help as many women as I could feel in control of their birth story, no matter how it unfolds. I have had two more VBACs since and I am so glad to be able to work to increase education on VBAC and cesarean prevention.

My passion is to make ALL women feel like they are in control during pregnancy, labor, and birth no matter how that baby arrives. All women should feel strengthened and supported on their birthing day. I feel very strongly that a woman be empowered to decide where and how she wants to birth based on the needs of her and her family, having as much knowledge as possible, and to do so without judgment. My goal as a doula is to bring my support and knowledge and provide you with the tools you need to navigate your individual journey.

With all that being said, my specialty is VBAC and unmedicated birth. I believe that birth flows most seamlessly when it is unhindered and intuitive, by allowing a woman's own instincts to guide her through.

Julie was everything we hoped for! Supportive, knowledgeable, and excellent at her work. She helped tremendously with pain management, helping guide us our path to delivery, and providing tools that I’m sure ultimately helped me achieve a VBAC. Her encouragement and faith in me was so apparent. I would recommend Julie to any pregnant momma in a heartbeat.

I cannot even begin to explain how amazing Julie is! My husband and I were hesitant to hire a a doula and wondered if we really ‘needed’ one. Not only are we glad we hired a doula but I am so glad we hired Julie. She helped me so much during my pregnancy, labor. birth and even postpartum that I truly know that I could not have done it without her. I will, without hesitation, hire Julie for all of our future births.

I’ve never met a doula so kind and loving as Julie! She radiates sunshine! While planning my second delivery, I was devastated to find out I had a condition that would force me to be induced 3-4 weeks early. After every meeting, Julie filled me with encouragement and excitement! She is super knowledgeable and stays on top of all the latest research, so I could ask her my endless questions throughout pregnancy. I also love how non-judgmental she is, I felt perfectly comfortable telling her my own choices as we made my birth plan.

The day I went in to be induced, I hadn’t slept the night before, and was lying in bed exhausted for hours on pitocin waiting for steady contractions. When Julie got there, she brought in energy and excitement, got me on my feet, made it through my whole delivery having fun and having the peaceful labor I always wanted. She had great ideas to help my labor progress and help baby move down. I also appreciated that when I was hit with the most horrible pain of my life as baby dropped and hit my tail bone, she supported me when I made the choice to get an epidural, and within minutes I was able to control push a few times and not tear with my babe. It was better than I ever could have imagined. Me and my husband are so thankful for the support she gave to us. She is simply wonderful!
