So we’ve peaked your interest, but you’re not quite sure what hiring a member of our agency looks like. Don’t worry though, we’re about to lay down some knowledge.

First: You can choose between 3 methods for getting in touch with the agency members best suited for your family.

  1. Meet the Utah Doulas & Co.

For the more extroverted amongst you, meeting our agency members at one of our public meet n greets might be the best way to go. We host them monthly in Weber, Salt Lake, and Utah counties. Check out our Events calendar to see when the next one in your area is! Our meetings include treats, some general information about our agency, and then “speed dating”. Mothers and their partners will sit as agency members visit with them round-robin style and get to know them one-on-one. We recommend bringing something to take notes with, but don’t worry. Our info sheets come with extra sheets if not.

  2. Call or fill out the inquiry form

Our Contact page has a form that allows you to type in your information and let us know what services and experience you are looking for. You can also accomplish the same thing by calling or emailing us. Going this route puts the ball back in our court. And since we aim to please, you’ll hear from us within 24 hours! Our agency owner, Kasaundra, will get back to you and match you up with at least one birth worker who matches your criteria. How many agency members you meet with is up to you. All are happy to come to your home, talk via phone/email, or meet to talk somewhere in your community.

  3. A mixture of both!

Why not have your cake and eat it too? We are happy to accommodate families who choose to do both. Let us know what you’re looking for by contacting us ahead of time, and we’ll let you know which agency members to look out for at the meet n greets! You are always welcome to schedule complimentary consultations in addition to these events and are not obligated to stick with the ones we suggest. Doula’s honor.

So you’ve fallen in love with your chosen birth worker and are ready to hire. What next?

  1. Contact the agency to let them know.

This can be done via phone, text, email, or even through your chosen agency representative.

  2. Sign the contract.

The agency will then send you a contract if applicable, or they will direct your chosen agency member to do so. Contracts can be returned in-person or via phone/email.

  3. Pay the deposit.

Depending on which service you purchase, either a deposit or the full fee will be required at the time of booking. Note: The signed contract will not go into effect until we have received this payment. The agency will email you an invoice and payment can be made in cash, Venmo, or Paypal.
